Larenzo Simmons share his thoughts about the football in PR

We of Inside Caribbean Football return to Puerto Rico. Now to hear what a foreigner have to tak about himself and about what he think about Puerto Rico Soccer League(PRSL).

Larenzo Paul Simmons is a 22-years-old forward that is having a brillant season with his side Mayaguez FC. Simmons is ranked as second top scorer in the league with 10 goals in PRSL Torneo Clausura 2016. He and Mayaguez FC are so close to reach the play-offs.

Mayaguez Fc isn't his first team in Puerto Rico. previously, he played for also Isabella Fc also a PRSL team.

The PRSL is a League with only two caribbean footballers, two profilic strikers: Jamaican Dwayne Phidd and bermudian Larenzo Simmons. Dwayne Phidd is currently with Club Atlético Fajardo on loan from crillos Fc Caguas and Paul Simmons as we said plays for Mayaguez FC. There are a lot of good caribbean players that could be playing for any PRSL club. However, the clubs prefer to bring south americans players.

A fast moment with Joash Leader

St. Kitts & Nevis have the small number in population in full Caribbean, In football, it must mean that there aren't footballers enough to keep good footballers every time. However, a good use of the money in the development of the football is showing that the number absolut of the population isn't a matter when there is an effective work.

The high level in the island is SKNFA National Premeir League that is a league that have supported well some players to play pro like DeVaughn Elliot that left Village Superstars to join Directv W Connection and today he is playing in Ascenso MX for Murciélagos FC, Julani Archibald that also left Village Superstars to play for W Connection and last season Ordell Flemming, also a forer Village Superstars' player, that joined Morvant Caledonia United. And ther's much more to come.

From Africa to Caribbean

Trinidad and Tobago profesional league( TT PRO League) have in their history many caribbean players, some south americans and also some africans.

The football, in terms of money, isn't so different in Caribbean and Africa. But africans national teams are a bit better because, like some countries are doing in caribbean, they call up europeans to replace local players.

In terms of importance, we can say South African Premier League is for Africa as TT PRO League is for Caribbean but in South Africa there's much more investments.

Club, League and National Team by Julian Wade

By Felipe Souza

Since always, for Caribbean players the best way to dream to play out caribbean is to reach a league with more investment. The football leagues with most investiments in caribbean are TT PRO League, that give much opportunites to players from St. Lucia, Dominica, Jamaica and St. Kitts and Nevis and ABFA Premier League is a league with less investment that Trinidad but is very important to caribbean supporting players from St. Vincent. St. Lucia, Dominica, Jamaica, Cuba and Barbados. Jamaicans teams aren't able to support foreign players.

Last year, Guyana get back a National League. The Stag Beer Elite League was created to support local players thinking in the National Team. One of the clubs with more investment, Slingerz FC, was able to bring to improve the roster 4 caribbeans. St. Vincentians Winslow McDowall, Keith Williams and Jolanshoy McDowall and Dominican striker Julian Wade. Alpha United, Guyana giant, had the jamaican Wayne Ellis and Grenadian Keithson Bain.
