A new european invasion

 
Caribbean were discoved in century XV and then were colonizaded by the Europeans. Now, at century XXI, we are seeing a new invasions of the Europeans. Now taking place and the wealth of the local talents in football.

Now is a ritual Caribbean National Teams call players that "have" any relation with the country. However, these players aren't really from the country. The most severius case is Curacao National team that is fearless to ignore the local players to call Holland-based players. Jamaica is also a team with na abusive number of foreigners. Antigua and Barbuda every call up bring up a new English-based face. Puerto Rico that take a lot of college's students from USA to play for them. Haiti, Martinica and French Guyana also use much French players. And many other Football Associations in caribbean think that the football in country will get better with Europeans or United States-based players. Bitish Virgin Islands mixed Usnited States and English players to represent the country.

Everyone is able to see that it is a big mistake. Many talents in the islands don't have the chance to show the skills and ability because the local football isn't so competitive. That's why we have the National teams. To play World Cup Qualifiers and CFU Scotiabank Qualifiers is what the local players need to show what they know. But If he knows doesn't matter how good he does his country will ignore him because he will never be like the europeans he will give up to his dreams. It is a real own prejudice that need to be finished.

A good example to the countries with out europeans is Trinidad and Tobago. The Soca Warriors had friendlies against Peru and Uruguay( that are two countries with a good culture in football). 14 local players were named. The expierence that these players earned on those games will be very importatnt for the development of local football that is what really is important. That's why TT PRO League every season send abroad good players because to play for Soca Warriors you must be good. For what to play against differents kinds of football If you will use europeans players?How it will improve to football in the country? This two questions haven't been checked for some Football Associations.

Sharing the reality we have, Puerto Rico National Team center back Luis Lorenzo talks about what he has seen on his National Team.

"Is sad to see the thing that happens in our football, when people don't care with the sport, when there's interest above all, whean a National Team that would be of Puerto Rico and for Puerto Rico become a deal for some clubs. Also is very sad to see many district and academy's talents like Don Bosco and Quintana and historical places in our football like Maunabo, Yabucoa, Guayama where I can swear there is more one player that have more hungry and heart that many those is there now. I'm honest, it is my opinion and I don't care who will enjoy it or not.

Other victim, my brother Karlos F. Ferrer Mojica, that until a blind knows that he has much talento and good numbers to play for this Under20 but how he isn't from "Chavito" and he isn't a memebr of that Club they ignore him.

My people, it is the time to do something about it!

A big show to bring foreigners players and If you check the historical numbers of Puerto Rico none did anything, only charge and come to vocation and this expierence that would make us grew up is taken and we lose it.

For some until get tired to come to play for Puerto Rico or only come to play important games to get the microfones. it is the time to give the chance to local players" said Luis Lorenzo.

Everything said by Lorenzo is a sad true. There is much more interest about the players on the National Team that players that really desserve to be there. Of course to bring a few of foreigners to give expierence for the local players can be good but these players can't be there for nothing, they must be there to teach not to take the place.

As we said that isn't only the reality of Puerto Rico, other countries are in the same dangerous situation.

The good examples:

Dominica national team use native players. Some of them already got Trinidad and Guyana football.
