A Puerto Rican in Uruguay

The traditional Uruguayan football is a unkown land for many of caribbean players and people.
A reality far from the amateur leagues over many of Caribbean Football Leagues.

But since July 2018 the U20 Puerto Rico goalkeeper José Calderón, 19, is playing for
CC y D El Tanque Sisley from Uruguay. First he played for the U19 team and now he is hoping
to debut on the senior team as the competition is hoped to start next weekend.

I already wrote here once about the Puerto Rico Soccer league when Luiz Lorenzo told us about the league. Today I will apresent to you one of the strikers that have showed their scoring power. Dennis Beltre is a 20-years-old center forward that plays currently for Don Bosco FC. His good appearence at the local football gave him the opportunity of play for his country.

Beltre came from a community called Cantera in San Juan, Puerto Rico, there was his beginnings in soccer at seven years of age always being at the side of Don Bosco FC. However he left the club at 15 years-old to play for other clubs. At 19 years old he rejoined Don Bosco FC last year from SPDP Spartans. In last season of PRSL he scored 18 golas in 12 games being the top scorer of the league.

CONCACAF U-20 Qualifiers updates

From 15 th june until 19th june runned in Caribbean the  CONCACAF U-20 Qualifiers, that is the championship that will open the Qualifiers for 2017 World Cup U-20 South Korea.

This championship is a great opportunity to Caribbean players to show their ability, however there's a small number of teams on that. Countries like Grenada, St. Vincent, Barbados, Suriname, Guyana, Aruba, Bonaire, Martinique, Bahamas, Franch Guyana, Montserrat, US Vigin islands and British Virgin Islands are out this championship for a unknown reason.

Caribbean were discoved in century XV and then were colonizaded by the Europeans. Now, at century XXI, we are seeing a new invasions of the Europeans. Now taking place and the wealth of the local talents in football.

Now is a ritual Caribbean National Teams call players that "have" any relation with the country. However, these players aren't really from the country. The most severius case is Curacao National team that is fearless to ignore the local players to call Holland-based players.
