AS Samaritaine is champion for third time in Martinique

AS Samaritaine conquered their third title of Champion of Martinique. French Football Federation (FFF) sent the authorization to concession the title of Champion in Martinique, French Guyana, Guadeloupe and Saint Martin. The club from Sainte-Marie was previously champion in 1975 and 1981.

AS Samaritaine broke also the dominance of Club Franciscain that won the Régionale 1 in the three past seasons.


Campaign

Samaritaine played 15 matches: 11 wins, 3 drews and 1 loss reaching 51 points (5 clear to second place L'Essor-Prêchotin).

The club scored 19 goals and suffered only 6.

AS Samaritaine has four players in our XI Best: Goalkeeper Gilles Meslien, the center back duo Karl Vitulin and Jerémy Norbert and defensive midfield Daniel Herelle. The runners-up Essor-Prêchotin has two youngsters: Center Midfield Tarik Cavelan and Left Winger Kilian Polomat. Former champion Club Franciscain left back Yordan Thimon and center forward Stéphane Abaul are also on the team. Complete the team: US Robert's right back Marvin Bellance, Aiglon du Lamentin's center midfield Clyde St. Omer and UJ Monnerot's right winger Jordan Lise.

The coach of the season is Samaritaine's Guy-Michel Nisas.
